yesterday...and today
Alright, so we had to be at school at 4:15 yesterday morning to leave for San Antonio to see DCI. Hooray for no sleep!! Well, I got there...and we drove...and drove...and stopped...drove a bit more...drove in circles around San Antonio...then reached the Alamodome. The afternoon DCI corps were good...but didn't really start getting unbelievably good until...the Glassmen and Santa Clara Vanguard. By then, everybody was watching and saying, "wow!"So...Robin and I took a break and she bought a birthday present for Spencer and I bought a Phantom Regiment shirt for myself. Lovely, lovely.
A group of us walked 2.5 miles and found a restaurant. We then walked back to the Alamodome for the evening performances. Whoo! So Phantom Regiment was completely awesome...so were the Bluecoats. As were the Blue Devils. The Cavaliers were great, too. I liked the Cadets, but I wasn't really a big fan of their weird Surrealist show. So then we drove back home and reached home around 4:30 am Sunday...
Went to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at 7:05 tonight. Whooooo! I loved it. It's a great movie. A bit weird, but it's Tim Burton and Johnny Depp...so what do you expect? But yeah, very very good- I highly recommend it.
Went shopping for college stuff today. Bought...umm...a trunk to pack stuff in...and I can just store it under my bed. Bought other stuff, too...like a fan...some binders...stuff like that. Scary/exciting at once. Eeeeeh.
