HurrKat

Yes...Hurricane Katrina is barrelling towards the coast right now with speeds of about...160 mph currently. Earlier today, it was 175 mph. Granted, Baton Rouge is semi-inland...New Orleans has a mandatory evacuation...along with several other parishes in southeastern Louisiana.

So, like idiots, Kevin, Adam, and I stayed. I had planned to go home if classes were cancelled Monday and yesterday, we got the news that Monday classes were cancelled. I was like, "HOME!" and Adam was all like, "I WANT TO WATCH OUR DEATHS!" [okay, so he actually said, "I'M EXCITED! I WANT TO WATCH THE HURRICANE!"] and I decided that I was lazy and did not feel like driving home because traffic would be awful. Now...all the gas in Baton Rouge is sold out. [it was sold out in New Orleans yesterday]

So we'll see. LSU classes are cancelled Monday and Tuesday and they said they are closely monitoring to see what to do about Wednesday. So...we'll see.
