Happy 2006!
Yay, Happy New Year!My New Year's Eve day was spent on the bus coming home from Atlanta. We began driving at 9:30 Eastern time, got to Baton Rouge at 5:30 Central time(we stopped for an hour to eat lunch in Mobile, AL). Mom picked me up, we left Baton Rouge at 7(we had to get my mellophone off the truck which took awhile, had to go to a hotel to see if I had left a shoe there, then went to get mom dinner at Albasha [Greek and Lebanese restaurant]). Got home to Lake Charles at 9, took a shower, came to Dad's at 9:50 or so, Kevin came at like 10:15.
Dad, Sheila, Logan, Emily, Kevin, and I all shot fireworks for awhile. It was quite fun.
So you might be wondering, "Why did Meredith go to Atlanta on a bus?" because most sensible people would fly. Yeah, that's right. Well, the band had to go on seven charter buses to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl! We beat Miami in that 40-3. Yay! Exciting. Worst part of the trip was the bus ride.
That's about all I've been up to. What'd you do for New Year's? Hope it was nice. Any resolutions?
